Education helped all of us become who we are today. But more than 62 million girls around the world – half of whom are adolescent – are denied the right to an education. When girls aren’t given the chance to realize their potential, the whole world loses out. Watch a message from First Lady Michelle Obama, then

I cannot find the words to describe how im feeling right now and I'm trying really hard not to cry and mess up my make up. But Less than 2% of teen moms earn a college degree by age 30 and here I am on my 27th Birthday picking up my cap and gown. I cannot thank, my family and friends enough. I have had the best support system anyone could ever ask for. I never in a million years thought I would have a child at 19. I was disappointed in myself because everyone knew that I was supposed to be the one to make it. But God makes no mistakes and worked everything out in my favor. This meant more for me than just being the first person in my family to graduate from college. For me this was about breaking a cycle and showing my daughter how important it is to get a college education. This cap and gown is one of the best gifts I could have ever asked for today. Thank you all again for your calls, texts and messages because I truly appreciate all the love from the bottom of heart. #believeinyourself #teenmom #62milliongirls #encouragemrnt #beauty #graduation #birthday #lawandsociety #armstrongstate #armstrongstateuniversity #selflove #womensfashion #stylebydnicole #makeup #capandgowm #blackgirlsrock #birthdaygirl #slay #beatface #brainsandbeauty #dontgiveup #keeppushing #honorsgraduate #cumlaude

TBT My kindergarten graduation! I know many people object to ceremonies over minor educational accomplishments like finishing kindergarten or elementary school- but I love such celebrations! In a world in which #62milliongirls don't have an opportunity to receive an education I celebrate each milestone both myself and my daughter can reach on our educational paths, and hold in my heart those girls who are denied the opportunities education offers.
"In school I learned that you shouldn’t judge people by their color or race." -#62MillionGirls don’t have that chance. -Ariann
When I was younger I had the chance to go to school and learn everything I wanted to. I still have that opportunity today. However #62milliongirls don't have this opportunity for a multitude of reasons. Come join the Kappa Deltas of Queens and UNCC, and Girl Scouts of America tomorrow to watch the film Girl Rising and join the conversation!
I couldn't read until I was 12 years old and thanks to an amazing teacher (not pictured here) I have been given the gift of the love of reading, that I wouldn't have gotten if I wasn't given the chance to learn and we have #62milliongirls that don't get to have that chance, like I did. So I stand up with all girls and women to #letgirlslearn! #throwbackthursday
In school I learned that with hard work, I can achieve any goal I aspire to accomplish. I can speak my mind and stand up for myself and others. My education has taught me how to be a strong and empowered female leader. #62milliongirls don't have that chance, and everyone deserves a chance for education. #letgirlslearn

When I look at this picture, I see many things. I see a 3 year old child who has 7 too many bubbles in her hair. A 3 year old child who didn't know how to smile to a camera. But most importantly, I see a 3 year old child on her first day of school who had the opportunity to get an education when 62 million girls around the world did not. #62milliongirls around the world were denied the right to get an education while I was privileged enough to have one. Join #kappadelta in the fight to spread awareness. #GirlRising.
In school, I learned to embrace the person I was created to be. #62MillionGirls don't have that chance.
Who would have thought that preschool taylor would aspire to be a pharmacist. Being provided an education helped me discover my love and interest in science and medicine. #62milliongirls didn't get that chance because #62milliongirls were denied the right to get an education. #GirlRising #InternationalGirlsDay #kappadelta

This is my #friend Harriet. I help her go to school in Uganda, Africa. Kind of near my birth country of #Ethiopia Education can change a person and that person can change many others. In school I learned that you can be what ever you wanted to be ! #62milliongirls didn't have that chance.
When I was child, getting my education wasn't optional. It was understood that as long as I had breath in my body, I was going to school. Because of that, after I became an adult furthering my education didn't seem optional either... I felt that college was my next step in life. All of my life I've said that I'm beyond blessed and quite fortunate. Today I learned that I'm more privileged than I had ever imagined. Did you know that girls with at least 8 years of education are more than 4 times less likely to be married as children? No? Well then like me, you probably didn't know that at least 62 million girls worldwide, don't have the option of getting an education. @aka_bno #62MillionGirls #GlobalImpact #AKA1908 #UNday2015 #BetaNuOmega

In school, I learned that empowerment is key. If a person feels empowered, they can do anything. My education has taught me to dream big and has given me the resources to make those dreams a reality. Unfortunately, #62milliongirls aren't so lucky. Let girls learn! ...because we can do some pretty amazing things. #globalgoals
In school I've learned that education is the key to success. Not only has school given me knowledge on different subjects but it has also helped me to further understand people. School has showed me the potential that I have to be successful in life. Everything that I've learned in school, along with my life experiences has shaped my thoughts, my ideas and my dreams. I have learned to always put my heart in everything I do, to always be determined, persevering and dedicated. Lastly I have learned that you never stop learning, that the more you learn the more there is to learn. Education has opened up doors to new opportunities, #62milliongirls are not as fortunate as I am. Let girls learn!!!
In school I learned that a decent education can be life changing and is something everyone should have access to. Unfortunately #62milliongirls don't have that chance

In school I learned that I could play football and love to sew. I learned that there is no better feeling in the world that achieving something you've worked really hard for. I learned that as long as you have a book you will never be lonely. #62milliongirls will never have this chance to #learn I learn so much from this lot everyday. I'm so lucky to have had the chance to still be learning as a teacher #letgirlslearn #education #62milliongirlscampaign
I learned where I came from did not matter and to keep my eyes on where I wanted to go. #62milliongirls
Going to school introduced me to my love of books and they are what I always turned to as a child (and still do as an adult) whenever I felt misunderstood or alone or needed to get away. They allowed me to realize that it was possible for me to achieve anything I put my mind towards and served as a constant reminder that a little boy growing up in the Bronx could accomplish and see things the statistics said he couldn't. #62milliongirls don't have the opportunity to receive an education and in a world that has so much to offer, it truly is an outrage that these girls are being denied the opportunity to realize exactly what I did, that you are so much more than your surroundings, so much more than any mold the world says you have to fit into and any obstacles that might get in the way of your journey. #62milliongirls #girlseducation #globalgoals
